Do you feel like your living room is missing a little something? Maybe you’d like to add a little something to celebrate the New Year? Here are some suggestions that may help you find that missing element.
1. Focal Point – It’s a little extra something that gives the room personality. A statement piece that sets the tone for the space. A big colorful painting is a good focal point example.
2. Built-ins – are a very special type of furniture. They could be considered the opposite of free standing furniture. Built-ins provide lots of storage. They can occupy an entire wall without making the room feel considerably smaller. They help create a cohesive look throughout and can be combined and coordinated with the rest of the decor. Another great thing about built-ins is that they can be tailored to fit your specific needs.
3. A breath of fresh air! Sometimes a room can feel kind of stuffy, especially when it’s hot outside. One way to keep things a bit fresher inside is to decorate with plants. Add small and large plants to the area. Nowadays succulents and small cacti are on the trend, so it’s easy to grab a few of these and add them to your room. This touch of green makes all the difference.
Now the room looks so much better. We only added a few things, but they made such a big impact on the space.
